BOHO CANDLE HANGER PATTERN

A beautiful candle hanger made with scrap yarn and a glass votive – mason jars work just as well!

These little votives candle hangers are so easy to customize and will suit any home decor. You can use candles and glass holders as I did, or even mason jars and succulents! How cute would that be? Plus it uses up those scraps of yarn that you love, but haven’t found a use for.

NYE FAUX FUR PURSE PATTERN

A soft and fuzzy crossbody purse for a night out on the town!

I may have been influenced by our time in Las Vegas, but once I saw this skein of faux fur yarn I knew it was meant to become a purse! This quick pattern will spice up the winter months; this fuzzy purse will hold everything you need and bring a smile to you and those around you. I love the subtle mint green coloring, the way the stitches disappear and how dang soft it is! I offset all of this softness with a matching black and gold zipper and purse strap set from Joann’s.

SOUTHWEST WINTER BEANIE PATTERN

Make this cozy ribbed beanie for everyone on your gift list this year!

I bought Yarnspiration’s Caron x Pantone Yarn at my local Michaels Store knowing I had to make a beanie out of it! I loved the presentation, how the yarn is split up by color and wrapped together. I also loved how many color choices there were! And all in combinations that would not have occurred to me. After getting it home, separating it out, and balling it up, it turns out the yarn is incredibly soft and cozy – perfect for a hat. Plus it comes with just enough yarn to make an adult sized beanie with minimal scrap yarn! I have been working on creating less yarn waste lately and this product is helping me meet my goals. I try to use an entire skein down in one go and have back-up and stash-buster projects on hard to keep using my excess yarn. And this yarn comes in the perfect amount for a beanie!

HEART TO HEART BEANIE PATTERN

A lightweight beanie with bobble hearts on the sides that is worked from the brim up. I created this blue beanie specifically for Lion Brand Yarn’s Hat Not Hate movement and October is anti-bullying month!

This pattern is special because I designed it for Hat Not Hate! Hat Not Hate is a wonderful way to support an amazing anti-bullying campaign and also burn through all of that blue yarn in your stash. Lion Brand launched the anti-bullying campaign in 2018 and it is going strong. They encourage people to make, wear, and post handmade blue hats, adding #HatNotHate when sharing on social platforms, because blue hats are the symbol in the “craftivist” movement to eradicate bullying. Are you ready to get involved? I sure am!

FRANCES SKIRT PATTERN

This high-waisted fall skirt is just begging to get on your hook and out in the world!

The Frances Skirt sits high on the waist and can be worn with or without leggings, taking us right into the fall and colder weather! It is incredibly comfy to wear and so easy to make. The sizing is easy to adjust to your exact waist and the yarn, Vanna’s Choice Lion Brand Yarn, is squishy and stretchy but will hold up to wear and washing. All around, it’s the perfect fall skirt to get in the mood for rainy days and chilly nights.

SQUAMISH COWL PATTERN

This “quilted” cowl is made by sewing together crocheted squares. Incredibly simple, the technique makes the cowl look more complex than it really is!

I wanted to create a cowl that had a lot of texture, but was very simple to work up. I chose to create ribbed squares, using double crochet, that I sewed together in an alternating pattern to create this patchwork look. I also love a good fringe and added one to the bottom edge of this cowl.
