SOUTHWEST WINTER BEANIE PATTERN

Make this cozy ribbed beanie for everyone on your gift list this year!

I bought Yarnspiration’s Caron x Pantone Yarn at my local Michaels Store knowing I had to make a beanie out of it! I loved the presentation, how the yarn is split up by color and wrapped together. I also loved how many color choices there were! And all in combinations that would not have occurred to me. After getting it home, separating it out, and balling it up, it turns out the yarn is incredibly soft and cozy – perfect for a hat. Plus it comes with just enough yarn to make an adult sized beanie with minimal scrap yarn! I have been working on creating less yarn waste lately and this product is helping me meet my goals. I try to use an entire skein down in one go and have back-up and stash-buster projects on hard to keep using my excess yarn. And this yarn comes in the perfect amount for a beanie!

TINY NO-SEW CHRISTMAS CACTUS PATTERN

I created the Tiny-No-Sew-Christmas Cactus to be a fun, quick, and easy gift for those who love to make unique, handmade gifts for their friends, family, co-workers, mailmen, bus drivers – you name it!

This pattern is modeled off of the prickly pear cactus we have been seeing all over the Southwest. I love the idea of creating a Christmas decoration that mirrors the native cactus we see on our travels. I was also interested in making a more “crafty” design that employs more than just yarn and a hook. I love using other materials in my crocheting and was happy to discover how well pipe cleaners worked for creating a no-sew cactus!

RIPPLE RAINFOREST SCARF PATTERN

Create a gorgeous wool scarf with two fantastic crochet stitches you will want to use on all of your winter projects!

This was such a fun pattern! I learned two new stitches for this scarf and was very excited about how well they complement each other. The scarf gets its airy feel and ripple look from the wave stitch – a fun and easy to learn technique that looks gorgeous with variegated yarn, like I chose, or when alternating yarn colors with striping. The scarf is warm and cozy, but not heavy or uncomfortable and looks great dressed up or down!

This might just be the cutest chalk bag yet! This oversized raspberry chalk bag uses bobble stitches to give it that unmistakable raspberry texture. Fun and easy to make, you can get this project done today and gift it or go and out climb with it!

How cute is this chalk bag?! The bobbles make the project entertaining and quick and you can use left over red and green yarn to complete it. Have a climber in mind who needs a Christmas gift? Give them one of these! Or make one for yourself and show it off on the wall.

ESCALANTE LACE WRAP PATTERN

Fun and colorful, but lightweight and elegant; this wrap will augment any outfit. Wear it over a fancy dress or throw it on a jean jacket. Versatile and beautiful, the Escalante Lace Wrap is always there when you need it.

I designed this lightweight wrap to be elegant, but still bright and fun. I was inspired by my Nana, who is always beautiful and elegant, but also spunky and the most cheerful person I know. I wanted a delicate wrap that could be dressed up or down; a piece of clothing that would go with everything, but also stand out in its simplicity and beauty.

HEART TO HEART BEANIE PATTERN

A lightweight beanie with bobble hearts on the sides that is worked from the brim up. I created this blue beanie specifically for Lion Brand Yarn’s Hat Not Hate movement and October is anti-bullying month!

This pattern is special because I designed it for Hat Not Hate! Hat Not Hate is a wonderful way to support an amazing anti-bullying campaign and also burn through all of that blue yarn in your stash. Lion Brand launched the anti-bullying campaign in 2018 and it is going strong. They encourage people to make, wear, and post handmade blue hats, adding #HatNotHate when sharing on social platforms, because blue hats are the symbol in the “craftivist” movement to eradicate bullying. Are you ready to get involved? I sure am!

SLITHERY SNAKE YARN BOMB PATTERN

The Slithery Snake Yarn Bomb! Leave this little guy someplace where others will discover it and brighten their day. Though using it to yarn bomb is optional, it is pretty cute on its own!

This little snake is cute, bright, and tough. I used Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn so that the snake could stand up to weathering. It is incredibly easy to customize the length to whatever you are choosing to yarn bomb; just crochet more or less rows on the body and pre-measure your intended yarn bomb target.
