Can sloths be any cuter! I love creating animal-themed chalk bags and when I grabbed a skein of this faux fur yarn I knew it was time to add a sloth to my suite of cute animal bags. I love the contrast between the furry yarn and the acrylic yarn face, especially that little smile and nose!

DIRECTIONS
BODY
Begin with your size J (6 mm) crochet hook and Hygge Fur yarn.
This piece is started in the round with joining and no turning. To achieve an invisible and straight seam, work your first stitch of the next round into the same stitch as your chain and end the round slip stitching into the first stitch of the previous round.

EYE PATCHES (MAKE 2)
This piece is worked in the round using tan acrylic yarn. Begin with your size G (4 mm) crochet hook.

ASSEMBLY
Begin by sewing the face to the upper half of your chalk bag, two inches below the edge of the chalk bag.
Next, push your safety eye through one side of an eye patch and then through the face and chalk bag (positioned as in the photo below). Secure the safety eye with its backing and then sew the eye patch down securely with its yarn tail. Repeat for the other eye and eye patch.
Taking a length of black yarn, embroider a small black nose directly between the eyes and then add a little smile.
