This pattern is one of the first crochet projects I designed on our #vanlife trip. This Simple Pan Handle cover was indispensable for our cast iron pan – the main stay of our mobile kitchen. I loved the pop of color and how easy it made cooking in the confined space of our mini-van! I hope you enjoy it too.

DESCRIPTION
This pattern fits a ~5 inch long pan handle and is made from cotton to avoid stretching and sliding. I just loved using the Stripes Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn for this project and how the colors turned out. It only uses single crochet and can be made in a few minutes. Great for a gift as well!
MATERIALS
- Lily Sugar‘n Cream yarn (Weight: 4/medium – 120 yds, 2.5 oz) One skein can make a few pan handles.
- Size H (5 mm) crochet hook
ABBREVIATIONS
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: single crochet two stitches together
DIRECTIONS
This cover is worked in the round. Join each row by slip stitching into the first stitch at the end of each row. This pattern fits a standard ~5 inch pan handle. Add or subtract rows at the end to adjust length to your pan handle. Don’t make it too long or it will singe!
