This was such a fun pattern! I learned two new stitches for this scarf and was very excited about how well they complement each other. The scarf gets its airy feel and ripple look from the wave stitch – a fun and easy to learn technique that looks gorgeous with variegated yarn, like I chose, or when alternating yarn colors with striping. The scarf is warm and cozy, but not heavy or uncomfortable and looks great dressed up or down!
I finished off the ends of the scarf with a long fringe and then outlined the scarf with the other stitch I learned for this pattern: the twisted single crochet stitch, a high-flying, karate-kicking, gem of a stitch that you will LOVE. I want to border every project with this incredible technique! Check out the video tutorial below to get hooked!
Fall is still here in the Southwest and it is SUNNY! Definitely chilly enough for scarves still and this one is perfect for the weather.

DESCRIPTION
This cozy but chic scarf is made with 100% wool yarn. The scarf is ~ 60 inches long and ~12 inches wide. I wanted a scarf long enough to get a good wrap around my neck when needed – winter is coming! The main part of the scarf is crocheted with the wave stitch and is outlined in a contrasting yarn color using the twisted single crochet stitch – a VERY fun stitch (see video tutorial below) that makes you feel like your hook is a nunchuck. The fringe is long and luscious and adds a pop to the ends.

Add a 10 inch long fringe to both ends and you have finished your scarf! Throw it on and brave the cold this winter while looking cute in your handmade garment.

This is a beautiful pattern and I would love to make it but seems the code you gave for it is not working.
Hi Scarlet! Some people were having issues with the code at first, but it now seems to be up and working correctly! Try it again if you have not 🙂
Ellie
Hi Ellie, I love the scarf pattern. Will make that one.
